As an Arlington resident and seasoned real estate professional, I specialize in the fast-moving Northern Virginia market — where speed, strategy, and hyper-local insight make all the difference.

 

For First-Time Buyers: I'm an educator at heart. With over 560 transactions closed, I guide buyers through every step of the process — from navigating competitive bidding wars in Arlington to uncovering hidden-gem neighborhoods in Fairfax and Alexandria that offer long-term value.

 

For Military Families: I speak your language. After 30+ years as a military spouse, I understand the "PCS clock" and the pressure that comes with it. I help families relocating to and from the Pentagon, Fort Belvoir, and Quantico find homes that balance BAH, commute, and lifestyle — without unnecessary stress.

 

For Veterans & Retiring Service Members: As a veteran spouse myself — my husband retired after a full military career — I also help retiring families make Northern Virginia home for the long haul, from using VA loan benefits to finding neighborhoods that fit life without orders and PCS deadlines.

 

As an Associate Broker with RLAH, and former Managing Broker of Buck & Associates, I bring together a background in Psychology and Interior Design with deep market knowledge and strong negotiation skills. This allows me to see both the potential in a property and the strategy needed to protect my clients' interests.

 

Originally from Maine, I've made Northern Virginia home through multiple moves and deployments. When I'm not working with clients, you'll find me exploring Arlington's newest local spots or traveling with my husband, our grown children, and our rescue dog.

Military families and first-time home buyers are two of my favorite groups to work with because, for both, buying a home often represents a major new chapter.

A PCS move involves much more than finding a house. Military families may be navigating new orders, unfamiliar Northern Virginia neighborhoods, school decisions, BAH, commute times, and a short relocation timeline. Some are buying remotely or sight unseen. I love helping them make sense of the options, understand the local market, and find a home and community that fit their lives. I also enjoy helping service members and veterans understand VA loans and VA loan assumptions, while making sure their offer is presented as strongly as possible.

First-time buyers often come to me excited but unsure of where to begin. My goal is to make the process feel clear and manageable. I explain everything in plain language, from financing and earnest money to inspections, appraisals, contingencies, and closing costs. There are no questions you should feel uncomfortable asking.
In Northern Virginia, buyers frequently have to balance location, commute, space, condition, and price. I help my clients understand those tradeoffs, look beyond staging and finishes, and consider maintenance needs, resale potential, and long-term value.
